Hazardous Weather Days – from your Collective Agreement

Did you know that each of the 3 Collective Agreements contain an article about Hazardous Weather, when sites are open but you cannot safely get there?

FROM YOUR COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT

18.5 (c) Hazardous Weather: An Employee who is unable to arrive at their workplace or
designated workplace due to hazardous weather may have up to three (3) days in any
one school year. Such requests must state the reason for absence, and approval is at the
sole discretion of the Superintendent of Education responsible for Human Resources, or
designate.

As a result of the Facilities Services unit meeting, following the Nov 22/25 GMM Lisa Philpott and Denise Kelly were elected to fill the vacancies left on the Executive.
